Whether you have a white belt or a black belt, here are a couple of Jiu-Jitsu Tournaments in Orange County for martial arts enthusiasts. You may want to train hard and train well if you want to qualify and win.

Dream Tournaments

This jiu-jitsu tournament started out a couple of years ago and have already been established as a top circuit for kid’s competitions. There are 4-5 dream tournaments every year and these are dedicated to kids only. Each competition has a unique theme. Previous themes included Minions, Star Wars, and Harry Potter. If you join this tournament, you’re bound to join more until you collect all the medals to complete your Dream Medal Collection. They also have a good set of rules that allows losing competitors to fight his way back to the podium. This way, kids can have more than one match and get an opportunity to keep going on. Dream Tournaments also have submission-only format tournaments for adults.

North American Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation

The NABJJF is one of the busiest jiu-jitsu tournaments in Orange County. They host tournaments all year round. However, their kid’s events have single elimination rules so the experience for kids may be limited. However, any black belt can compete in their tournaments for free.

International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation

The IBJJF is one of the most prestigious jiu-jitsu tournaments in Orange County. This established federation happens in Pan Am’s and is held annually in Irvine California at the Bren Center in the University of California. The World Championships have also held annually at the Walter Pyramid in California State University Long Beach.

World Jiu-Jitsu League

This jiu-jitsu tournament is set to establish itself as a great tournament for kids and adults. They have a tracking system of competitors who may accumulate points and victories all year round. Only such competitors get to battle in the tournament at the end of the season. This system helps to keep competitors motivated to enroll and compete in pursuit of the World Jiu-Jitsu League title.

Russ Miura’s Subfighter BJJ Tournaments

Known as “The Original” Jiu-Jitsu tournament in Southern California, they offer tournaments that can help you improve your jiu-jitsu as you gain more experience. They are local and their Subfighter Classic tournaments are low-cost and Round Robin Format. They also have larger Subfighter Challenge & Championship Tournaments you can participate in with other experienced competitors from California, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona and other countries.

Whether you’re a newbie or you’re aiming to improve your jiu-jitsu techniques through training, Gracie Barra Garden Grove, CA is the jiu-jitsu school of choice. They are open from Monday to Thursday, 2 PM to 9 PM, on Friday from 2 PM to 7 PM and on Saturday from 8 AM to 2 PM. They have a wide range of curriculums over a 16-week period. Their methods include training in real-life authentic conditions so that you are ready to use your knowledge and skills in practice as a self-defense martial art.
